In Chapter 6.11 Diminished and augmented triad you’ve learned about augmented and diminished triads. In this chapter you will learn how augmented and diminished triads are notated with chord symbols.


Chord symbols

Augmented and diminished triads can be notated with different chord symbols. However, it is not always clear whether a triad or a seventh chord is being indicated. You will learn more about chord symbols for augmented and diminished seventh chords in Chapter 7.14 Chord symbols.
