Theory

In this chapter you will learn how augmented sixth chords are notated with chord symbols.

Chord symbols

In Chapter 8.8 Augmented sixth chords - triads and Chapter 8.10 Augmented sixth chords - seventh chords you’ve learned about the major flat-fifth triad and the dominant seventh flat five chord.

The major flat-fifth triad and the dominant seventh flat five chord can be notated with different chord symbols. There are also several notations for 9th, 11th and 13th chords.
